Foundations
We began the Leaders4Wales initiative in early 2009. This followed our discussions with leading institutions in Wales and internationally about a practical framework for improving business performance based on building a network of current and future business leaders.
Our team attended a groundbreaking conference hosted by the Wales Employment and Skills Board in January 2009 in Cardiff. Improving business performance and the important role of leadership in delivery was discussed with a cross section of influential figures in the nation's public and private sectors.
Leaders4Wales will reinforce the existing talent pool within Wales' business community to 'lead by example'. We are an open and inclusive network that values experienced managers, business people, owners and leaders.
Our team is working in partnership with a team from the GO Wales initiative, sponsored by the Welsh Assembly Government and supported by our nation's universities. At Leaders4Wales we firmly believe in giving Wales' young leaders chance to develop their technical, interpersonal and practical business skills, especially during more challenging economic times. They are a valuable resource and key to the nation's future prosperity.
